New York's Great Appliance Swap Out PDF Print E-mail

The U.S. Department of Energy announced it has approved New York's plan to provide consumers with rebates for purchasing certain energy-efficient refrigerators, clothes washers, freezers and dishwashers through a program funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).  New York's Great Appliance Swap Out (www.NYApplianceSwapOut.com) will allow the State to issue more than 170,000 rebates totaling $16.8 million during President's Week in February, 2010.

Steuben Rural Electric Cooperative is proud to announce a new cooperative business partner, Cooperative Response Center, Inc. (CRC).  CRC is a nationwide cooperatively owned and operated 24/7 call center, handling after-hours calls for electric cooperatives nationwide. 
CRC takes outage calls and handles line crew dispatching, as well as taking various other calls after hours.  CRC's support and service to Steuben Rural Electric Cooperative will be a seamless operation of call handling.  Members will call 1-866-430-4293 after business hours, weekends and holidays to report any interruption of service.  During regular business hours, our Bath office may be reached at 607-776-4161 or 800-843-3414 and our Cherry Creek office may be reached at 716-296-5651 or 800-883-8236.
 
e-Bill/Credit Cards Accepted! PDF Print E-mail

Steuben Rural Electric Cooperative website has added e-bill!  Members may register online to view, print, update, review information and now pay their accounts.  The ability to pay electric bills online by credit card or electronic check became available on November 19, 2009.

April 22, 2009, SREC Generating Co., Inc., a subsidiary of Steuben Rural Electric Cooperative, Inc., joined  Steuben County Landfill to break ground for a 3.2 MW landfill gas powered generating station located at the Steuben County Landfill in the Town of Bath.
