Occasionally you may be ill, incapacitated, or away from home and unable to pay your electric bill. As a result, your electric utility service may be disconnected. To protect you, the Cooperative offers the opportunity for you to designate a third party, such as a relative, or a friend, to receive notice of any disconnect. The Third Party Agreement does not make the third party responsible for paying any part of the bill.

Do you have rental property? Would you like to protect your investment from service interruption during tenant transitions? Steuben REC, Inc. offers landlord members options during tenant transitions - return the service to the landlord's name to avoid any interruption of service or disconnect the service.

If you are 70 years of age or older, you may qualify for a refund of your capital credits. Call (800)843-8414 for terms and conditions. Print out the form below to be completed and mailed in. Terms and conditions are also stated there.

Steuben REC now offers gift certificates for sale. They are available in denominations of
$5, $10, $20, $25, $50, $75 or $100. These make the perfect gift for the person hard to
buy for. The certificates can be applied to a member's electric bill, the purchase of a
